The Health Commission of Guangdong Province recently announced the results of the performance evaluation of public hospitals in 2018. Zhongshan People's Hospital (ZSPH) ranked 3rd among 36 municipal hospitals in Guangdong and 1st among prefecture-level municipal hospitals. 

The evaluation of hospital performance and management mainly includes four parts: social benefit, medical service provision, comprehensive management, and sustainable development. 

ZSPH scored 90.85 points and ranked 3rd in the province following Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital and Nanfang Hospital, and ranked 1st among prefecture-level city hospitals. 

In addition, among 42 county (district) public hospitals, Guzhen People's Hospital and Dongfeng People's Hospital ranked 1st and 7th, with a total score of 98.99 and 92.14 respectively.
