On April 22, the inauguration ceremony of the Digestive Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Center, which is jointly established by the Nanfang Hospital of Southern Medical University and the Torch Development Zone Hospital (TDZH), and the Zhongshan (Torch Development Zone) Sub-center of Guangdong Digestive Endoscopy Engineering Technology Research Center was held in Torch Development Zone Hospital.

TDZH and the Department of Digestive Medicine of the Nanfang Hospital signed a contract on April 7. They agreed to form the Department of Digestive Medicine of the Nanfang Hospital of Southern Medical University-Nanfang Digestive Speciality Clinics Association. The two hospitals decided to cooperate and build a digestive disease diagnosis and treatment center.

TDZH's Department of Digestive Medicine has a good foundation for development, with 26 medical staff, 38 ward beds, and an annual endoscopic checking of about 10,000 appointments.

It is reported that after the completion of the Digestive Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Center, TDZH will establish practical mutual exchange of professionals and mutual referral of patients with Nanfang Hospital. Additionally, TDZH will gradually introduce a series of cutting-edge technologies and purchase high-end medical equipment.
