The Information Office of the Zhongshan People's Government on December 29 held the 66th press conference on epidemic prevention and control.

As of the evening of December 27, about 14,000 high-risk people in Zhongshan have been vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccines, and vaccines will be available for more people according to relevant national and provincial requirements.

Presently, the groups targeted for the vaccine include: personnel related to frozen-product import logistics, personnel working in quarantine sites, personal working with inbound travelers, closed-loop management workers, customs officers, mainland cross-border drivers, shuttle drivers, medical and health personnel, primary epidemic prevention personnel, public transportation staff, and personnel working and studying abroad for private business purposes.

A reminder was also released at the conference: During New Year and the Spring Festival holidays, citizens should avoid unnecessary trips (in particular outbound tours) and do not go to middle- and high-risk epidemic areas in China.
