The dining hall for the elderly located in Jinlong Food Farm, Wuguishan District's Guinan Village was opened on December 5 morning. More than 20 elderly people in the village enjoyed the first sumptuous free lunch.

Shi Fangwen, Party Secretary of Guinan Village, said that as of now, the dining hall is opened to the elderly of over 80 years old free of charge through cooperation with restaurants in Guinan Village. There are 52 elderly people of over 80 years old in Guinan Village as of now.

Guinan Village in addition has also taken the initiative to bear the meal expenses for the 9 elderly and needy people in the village, so that they can also have free meals at the elderly dining hall.

Xie Xiuzhen, head of the designated restaurant that serve meals at the dining hall, said that lunch and dinner are now served on a daily basis, with a daily meal quota of 30 yuan/person. In case of mobility difficulties, the staff can also deliver meals.

From January 1, 2020, the elderly meal service will be fully available in all villages in Wuguishan.
