The Zhongshan Bureau of Veterans Affairs on December 12 organized the "Heroes Care and Free Medical Service Delivery" activity for key entitled groups enjoying regular pension subsidies in the city, including senior family members of martyrs, senior demobilized soldiers, disabled soldiers, home-returning veterans with diseases, and nuclear war-related retired military personnel.

Guangdong Province First Rongjun Hospital, aligned with Zhongshan People's Hospital, Zhongshan Bo'ai Hospital and Zhongshan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, organized about 150 medical personnel to visit about 5,400 patients in 24 townships. This activity has received an investment of about 2.2 million yuan.

The Zhongshan Bureau of Veterans Affairs and the Zhongshan Municipal Health Bureau jointly organized a "Mobile Medical Team for Heroes". In cooperation with a medical team of Guangdong Province First Rongjun Hospital, it will provide medical services to key entitled groups who enjoy regular pension subsidies in towns and districts.

For those who are unable to go to the free clinic due to aging, infirmity or illness, the medical team will come to their homes to deliver medical services.
