The Implementation Regulations for Zhongshan Business Development Special Fund (for Projects to Promote Foreign Trade) issued by the Zhongshan Bureau of Commerce will take effect in early July.

The Regulations encourage enterprises to purchase export credit insurance. Financial support will be provided to relevant insurance companies and insured enterprises. For small and micro enterprises with an export value of equal or less than US$3 million in the previous year, the subsidy is subject to an annual gross premium. The total amount of financial support received by each small and micro enterprise from Guangdong Province and Zhongshan may not exceed the small and micro enterprises' provincial upper subsidy limit for promoting the purchase of export credit insurance.

The Regulations also encourage imports and provides financial support to trading platform enterprises that meet relevant conditions, mainly including enterprises whose main functions are exhibiting imported goods for trade, international procurement, logistics and distribution, trade services, training and education. For import innovation platforms with an import value equal to or over US$20 million, the subsidy is 50% of the actual expenses incurred in providing public services, with a maximum of 2 million yuan.

Export enterprises are encouraged to explore the international market, and financial support will be provided for enterprises that organize exhibition services and participate in the offline exhibitions and major online exhibitions, as long as they meet the relevant conditions.

The Regulations also stipulate the support criteria for enterprises participating in offline exhibitions and major online exhibitions.
