"Card for Code" was officially launched on June 22. Citizens holding real-name verified bus cards for the elderly, students, disabled persons and entitled groups are no need to show the Guangdong Health Code anymore when taking a bus in Zhongshan.

"When the cardholder swipes their card to board the bus, a green light indicates that the health code is green; a red light or the voice prompt saying that the health code is abnormal means that the health code is yellow or red, and the cardholder is forbidden to take the bus." A technician working on Zhongshan's transportation card system said that equipment debugging for over 2,000 buses in Zhongshan has been implemented ahead of schedule.

To facilitate the system's use by citizens, Zhongshan Public Transportation Group has appointed staff to provide Q&A and guidance services at 60 bus stops across the city.
