Drivers in 5 more Guangdong cities, following Guangzhou and Shenzhen, will be allowed to apply for digital driver licenses starting October 20.

The launch time will be as follow: from October 20, Zhuhai and Foshan, from October 23, Zhongshan and Jiangmen, and from October 26, Qingyuan.

Drivers in these cities can apply for an e-license through the "Traffic Control 12123" App according to the schedule.

Digital driver licenses issued by pilot cities are valid nationwide and can be presented and used when handling traffic services and receiving law enforcement inspections. It can also be used on such occasions as passenger and freight transportation, car rental and car insurance purchasing.
