Zhongshan on October 19 launched the 2021 "Respect the Elderly Month" campaign at Shiqi District's Guiyuan Community.

The Zhongshan Municipal Commission on Aging called on and mobilized all towns, districts and member units to carry out related activities, including intelligent services for the elderly, home visits, health knowledge publicity, recreational and sports activities and etc.

By the end of 2020, Zhongshan has a registered population of 1,921,700, and the population of peope aged 60 or above is about 294,100, with am aging rate of 15.3%.
