On November 25, Zhongshan Bureau of Government Service and Data and Zhongshan Customs set up the first banking service site for the self-service printing of certificate of origins (C/Os) in the Torch Development Zone Science and Technology Branch of Bank of Communications.
According to Zhongshan Customs, over 4,000 enterprises are involved in the C/O printing service in Zhongshan. From January to October 2021, about 88,000 C/Os with a total value of about 27 billion yuan were issued, a year-on-year increase of about 25%. A total of 64 self-service printing enterprises were added in 2021, up by 71.32% year-on-year, with nearly 30,000 self-printed certificates of origin, 100% more than last year.
Zhongshan Eurotec Electronics Ltd, located in Nanlang Sub-district, was among the first batch of enterprises to use this self-service C/O printing service. Miss Kong, the customs declaration merchandiser of the company, said that this time it took less than 5 minutes to fully apply for and print the C/O. "In the past, the certificate of origin could be obtained only at the customs service offices, but now it saves much time and effort."
At present, the self-service printing machine can provide 17 kinds of certificate services. According to a spokesperson for Bank of Communications, self-service C/O printing is planned to be rolled out at 20 branches in Zhongshan, so that more enterprises will benefit from it.
