This is the first low-temperature agricultural insurance payout in Zhongshan, taking only 19 hours from initiating the claim to the closing of the case.

"The policy-backed weather agricultural insurance covers four meteorological disaster types: strong wind, heavy rain, low temperature and power outage." According to Zhongshan Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the weather insurance refers directly to meteorological data, without any on-site loss assessments, so the settlement of the insurance claim proceeds more efficiently, and 80% of the premium is subsidized by the government.

In recent years, Zhongshan Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has innovated and improved the agricultural insurance policy system. In 2021, income from agricultural insurance premiums in Zhongshan reached 89.9147 million yuan, ranking second province-wide in terms of growth rate.
