From September 1, 2022, all petrol stations and oil depots selling motor gasoline in Zhongshan will start to use China VIB-standard gasoline, which is expected to fully replace existing motor gasolines (including E10 ethanol) failing to meet the China VIB Gasoline Emissions Standards from January 1, 2023. That is to say, gasoline failing to meet the China VIB Gasoline Emissions Standards will no longer be available, but E10 ethanol in line with China VIB Gasoline Emissions Standards will be available in pilot stations.

All petrol stations in Zhongshan shall complete the transition to China VIB gasoline (including E10 ethanol) and update their label by December 31, 2022, clearly stating the name, license number and grade. The retail price shall be subject to the national and provincial regulations. Petrol stations should mark the price clearly according to regulations.
