The construction of the Zhongshan Central Grain Depot phase III project started on September 22. It will be put into use in December 2024.

The phase III project is located near the Sanjiao Expressway and the Nansha-Zhongshan Expressway, with convenient transportation and logistics conditions.

With a total investment of 1.158 billion yuan and a building area of over 83,000 square meters, the project will build 28 large silos for grain storage and a 5-storey refrigerated rice warehouse, with a total capacity of 347,000 tons.

In addition, a complex with a city-level testing and laboratory center will be built for quality inspection of grain, oil and food.

The refrigerated warehouse will be equipped with automated control, RFID, intelligent vehicle identification, artificial intelligence, mobile internet and image and video capturing devices to realize automatic, visual and traceable inbound and outbound logistics and storage data collection of grain.
