The Zhongshan Meteorological Research and Application Innovation Center, jointly established by the Zhongshan Meteorological Bureau and Sun Yat-sen University School of Atmospheric Sciences, went into operation on June 30.

The Center were rebuilt from the original Xiushan observation station of the national meteorological station in Zhongshan, with a floor area of 468.8 square meters. The new office building will bring in urgently needed top talents and high-level research projects from universities, be devoted to the integration and application of meteorological service scenarios, and constantly improve the independent innovation capability and academic level of Zhongshan's meteorological technology.
