The first e-CNY demonstration zone in Zhongshan was launched on December 15 at the Hua Feng Mall in Guzhen Town.

At the launch ceremony, Ruan Zhili, town mayor of Guzhen, introduced Guzhen's construction progress of digital economy and digital currency consumption scenes. Since the pilot program was launched, Guzhen Town, focusing on key areas of livelihood, has taken the lead in Guangdong Province to issue the first "Easy Micro e-CNY Loan for First-time Borrower". During the Guzhen International Lighting Fair, a special area for the experience of e-CNY was set up to provide convenient and fast services in procurement, sales and trading for merchants from home and abroad.

Plaques were presented to e-CNY cooperative demonstration sites, including Hua Feng Mall, Universal Lighting City, Guomao Plaza, Huayi Plaza, Galaxy Lighting Plaza, Star Alliance, Haidu Plaza, and Tongyi Mall.

Bulb-like E-CNY experience stations were set up at the east gate of Hua Feng Mall and Guzhen Cultural Park, with a series of activities held to attract many residents.
