The new Zhongshan Ecology and Environment Monitoring Center was inaugurated on Zhongshan 2nd Road on January 2.

The center, covering a total area of over 4,000 square meters, primarily undertakes ecology and environment law enforcement and monitoring tasks citywide and provides technical support.

The center is also responsible for the city's pollution source monitoring and daily management and maintenance of the online monitoring system; emergency monitoring of sudden ecological and environmental events, participating in the investigation and technical mediation of pollution incidents; daily management of specific water quality and atmosphere automatic monitoring stations and providing technical support; assisting the daily management and maintenance of Zhongshan's water quality automatic monitoring platform; and relevant tasks.
