The new Zhongshan Passenger Port is located on Ma'an Island, Cuiheng New District, and the main body of the joint inspection building has been topped out. The municipal roads leading to the new port have also finished asphalt pavement last month.

The joint inspection building is equipped with six berths for ships from abroad, four for domestic ships, and two for maintenance. Ferry routes to downtown Hong Kong, Hong Kong International Airport and Macau International Airport will be opened in the near future. More ferry routes to Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport and Shenzhen Shekou as well as routes for island tours, sightseeing and low-altitude flights will be available.

The maximum passenger flow per year of the joint inspection building is expected to hit 3 million.
