During the Spring Festival travel rush (January 14 to February 22), more than 6.31 million passengers trips were made across Zhongshan, with an increase of 18.02% year-on-year. The ShenZhong Link, which experienced its first Spring Festival travel rush, recorded over 4 million vehicle trips.

Over 5.27 million trips were made by road, up 20.95% year-on-year, including some 22,900 inter-provincial trips, up 2.95%, and some 254,400 inter-city trips, up 23.22%.

Some 31,700 trips were made by air, with an increase of 62.90% year-on-year. Some 952,200 trips were made by rail, up 6.88% year-on-year, and some 83,100 trips were made by water, up 12.17% year-on-year.

Expressways saw increased traffic flows, with over 22.8 million vehicle trips made, up 43.64% year-on-year.
