Zhongshan Charity Parade 2023 was held as scheduled on the morning of February 5. A parade team, made up of expats from different countries and with different occupations in Zhongshan, chanted "We love Zhongshan" in chorus during the parade.

Jerry Gray is a freelance writer and public service activist from Australia. Over the past 18 years living in Zhongshan, he has participated in the charity parade at least ten times, forming an indissoluble bond with Zhongshan's charity cause. In 2005, he founded the Zhongshan Helping Hand Charity Fund with his wife, which has initiated many non-profit volunteer events and raised a total of 3 million yuan to help out more than 300 families with disabled members. "After all these years in Zhongshan, I deeply feel that Zhongshan is a city of fraternity, where people are ready to help others," he said. "This is a beautiful city, but the people are even more beautiful."

In his debut in the parade, Valery from Israel froze impressive moments with this professional camera from time to time. He, positive about the electronics industry in the Greater Bay Area, chose Zhongshan to start his own business in 2019. "Zhongshan has provided a favorable business environment and preferential policies for foreign talent," he said. "Next, I'll try my best in the IT field."

Ravi from India, thrilled by the grand spectacle, waved his hand every now and then to the people along the road. Three months ago, he was recruited as a professor by the Zhongshan Institute of Changchun University of Science and Technology. He said he had been enchanted by the beauty and culture of Zhongshan though he had not been in this city for long.
