During the May Day holiday, Zhongshan offered a wide array of exciting activities. At the Qijiang River Park, visitors could enjoy wonderful music on the island in the middle of the river, encounter the intangible cultural heritage Drunken Dragon Dance parade, and engage in leisure camping and outdoor movies, immersing themselves in the atmosphere of nature and art.

Various towns and districts had prepared rich activities as well. In Gangkou Town, for example, coinciding with the traditional folk festival Tianhou's Birthday, there are photography excursions, essay contests, children-friendly concerts and business markets in addition to traditional activities.
