One day in September 2023, 72-year-old Gu Huiyi returned to her father's hometown - Binglangshan Village under Nanqiao Village in Wuguishan District. The ancestral house was no longer there, but the litchi trees planted by her grandfather were still standing, making it one of the two remaining ancient litchi tree clusters in Zhongshan.

Seeing these ancient trees once again, Gu Huiyi was filled with mixed emotions. From the "identification cards" hanging on them, it was known that their average age was around 140 years, with the oldest tree approaching 200 years.
