Peter Lee, a documentary filmmaker from New Zealand, returned to his ancestral hometown Jinxi Village in Zhongshan City with his family and a film crew. As they walked through the village, cameras rolled, capturing memories old and new.

"I plan to bring my child back to live in China, restore the old house, and record this entire journey in a documentary titled Our Forgotten Home. " Peter Lee said. For him and his family, this is not only a journey to rediscover their cultural identity, but also writing a "love letter" to all overseas Chinese.
