Cuiheng National Wetland Park is currently 80% completed and now being landscaped and decorated. All work is scheduled to be finished in the second half of this year when the park will also go through its acceptance inspection.
The Cuiheng National Wetland Park is located at the junction of the Hengmen Waterway at the Pearl River Estuary in Tsuihang New District, Nanlang Town. The park encompasses an area of 625.6 hectares with a length of 5.4 kilometers.
"The Hengmen Waterway is located between Guangzhou's Nansha wetland and Zhuhai's Qi'ao Island," clarified Tang Jinglin, Vice Director of the Project Construction Management Center of Zhongshan Tsuihang New District. Together with Nansha wetland and Qi’ao Island, Hengmen Waterway forms a migratory passageway for migrant birds from around the world. This significant bird protection ecological zone will also become a new bird-watching resort.
The park includes five distinct areas. Namely, they are the Administration Service Area, the Publicity and Education Display Area, the Reconversion Area, the Wetland Conservation Area, and the Rational Utilization Area.
The park planners have also thoughtfully incorporated an activity area for children, a landscape design that combines natural and artificial wetlands, a Wetland Education Exhibition Hall, and a folk-custom Interactive Exhibition Hall within the park. After completion, the Cuiheng National Wetland Park will become the newest tourist attraction in Zhongshan.
