On the morning of March 7, Shaxi Town held a mobilization meeting for upgrading and accelerating the construction of Fenghuang Mountain Forest Park. Wen Weige, secretary of the Shaxi Town Party Committee, said at the meeting that the first phase of Fenghuang Mountain Forest Park, including the 200-mu (※) Fenghuang Mountain Children's Park, Sports Park, and 8-kilometer long main park mountain path, would take shape by June 6 this year, and would take another 20 days for refinement. It would be completely finished and opened to the public by July 1.

Fenghuang Mountain Forest Park is located in the southwest of Shaxi Town with a total area of 4,350 mu. It is expected to become another good place for leisure and fitness following the examples of Zhongshan Arboretum and Jinzhong Reservoir.
