The People's Government of Guangdong Province recently announced a list of 65 provincial historical and cultural blocks. Zhongshan has 4 places on the list: Sun Wen Xi Road Historical and Cultural Block, Xishan Temple Historical and Cultural Block, Congshan Lane Historical and Cultural Block, and Shachong Historical and Cultural Block in South District.

The publication of this list aims to better protect, leverage, and inherit the excellent historical and cultural heritage of Guangdong Province and carry forward the traditional national culture.

The governments of the cities and counties where the provincial historical and cultural blocks are located should properly conduct preparation, approval, and implementation of the protection plans for the historical and cultural blocks in accordance with the law, and improve protection rules and regulations.
