There is a military museum with an area of about 200 square meters at No.76 on West Xingpu Avenue in Huangpu Town. It houses more than 3,000 modern military cultural relics.

The collections in the museum are mainly divided into six categories, about the Red Army period, the Anti-Japanese War period, the Revolutionary War period and the Korean War period, as well as about the Huangpu Military Academy and western culture and art, respectively.

Wu Huisen, aged 66, owner of the museum, is a native of Huangpu Town. He began to collect military cultural relics after retirement in 2013 and opened his residence to the public as a family military museum in 2018.

Wu spent almost all of his savings to get these precious collections. Before he retired, nearly 70% of his salary was used to pay for these collections. His family members have been very supportive of him collecting military cultural relics.

"I hope that the display of these relics can make it easier for visitors to learn about and to remember our history." Said Wu.
