A new 200-meter-long vertical landscape made its debut along the hiking trial in Zhongshan Park. Shade and semi-shade plants such as dendrobium orchids, moth orchids, bird's nest ferns and flamingo lilies have been attached to the trees and branches along the trial.
"In the past, Zhongshan Park was full of green plants. But now, red, purple and yellow flowers create an image of a dazzling painting!" Said Miss Zhu who usually brings her children to the park.
"We use trimmed branches to set up frames containing flower arrangements, as well as epiphytes on trees on both sides," said Yang Qingjian, deputy director of the Zhongshan Urban Landscape Management Center.
Zhongshan Park has a long history, and many plants inside have grown into towering trees, making the park suitable for plants that prefer the shade. The park is also equipped with spray devices to create a favorable environment for shade plants.
