Zhongshan Arboretum has recently attracted flocks of shutterbugs that brought photographic equipment and quietly waited for the scaly thrush, the new frequent visitor to the park. 

This year has seen the frequent appearance of the scaly thrush in Zhongshan Arboretum. The adorable bird has not only appealed to the general public, but also made the park an popular destination for bird photographers.

The scaly thrush, the largest of the thrush species, is about 30 centimeters long with golden olive brown plumage. It is a national protected wildlife of benefit, important economic value and research value.

The frequent appearance of the scaly thrush in Zhongshan Arboretum is owing to the continuous improvement of Zhongshan's ecological environment and the rise in the public awareness of protecting nature.
