It is a good time for an outing at the end of spring and the beginning of summer. Today, we are taking you to time-honored ancient villages, places where great men called home and artistic youths have been longing for.

Route: Yakou Village→Shimen Village→Zuobu Village→Chadong Village

Yakou Village

See stretches of verdant rice fields in the simple ancient village to experience a peace of mind.

Yanshiwei in the village is a superb place to watch the sunrise and sunset.

There are stalls by the seawall of Yanshiwei. How pleasant it is to go for a stroll, eat some snacks and enjoy the sea breeze here!

Yakou, known as a home of salt- and fresh-water seafood, has a seafood street built along the seawall.

Enjoy a carefree holiday in the breeze, by the rice fields, under the blue sky.

Shimen Village

Artistic buildings can be seen everywhere in Shimen Village.

With this place as the center, the Cuiheng Culture and Art Creation Base has seen the emergence of Art Exhibition Hall, Gallery Street, Literary Creation Park and other supporting facilities, as well as the flourishing of academic seminars, cultural and art festivals and other activities.

The Southern Oil Painting Academy, consisting of an art gallery, a Xiangshan Study, a cafe and a restaurant, is a must-go artistic place.

Zuobu Village

Zuobu Village is the ancestral land of the great man Dr. Sun Yat-sen, as well as the hometown of such celebrities as Fang Juzan, Ruan Lingyu, Fang Cheng and Ou Chu. There are a lot of well-preserved cultural relics in the village. The old buildings and streets with the features of the late Qing Dynasty bring back the old history.

In recent years, Zuobu has changed drastically with each passing day.

People can surely have a good time here during holidays, reading in the glass book house or enjoying the annual rice field music festival.

Chadong Village

"Tazhai Village", which was featured in most episodes of The Thunder, a hit online drama series in 2019, was set in Chadong Viilage, a traditional Chinese village in Zhongshan's Nanlang District.

Ancestral halls are well preserved here.

In recent years, Nanlang has developed Chadong into a featured rural tourism destination integrating culture & tourism, ecological experience, leisure and recreation.

Come for the healing romance during the coming May Day holiday!
