The Xi Islet Ecological Park, located in Qiaogang Community, East District, has become a viral sensation on social media, emerging as a must-visit attraction for residents and tourists.

Once an overgrown wasteland, the site was revitalized after renovations worth 3 million yuan. The community established a resource-matching platform, and Guo Chengkai, the park's founder, took over the land in late 2025.
In the spring season, the park bursts with lush greenery. The 140-square-meter cafe welcomes visitors with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. Beyond the cafe, bluestone paths meander through verdant landscapes, offering picturesque lakeside views. Parents and children stroll hand-in-hand, snapping photos against the serene backdrop.

To cater to family needs, Guo incorporated a sandpit and a shallow fish-catching area during the renovation, ensuring kids have space to play.
Looking ahead, Guo plans to develop agricultural and educational programs on a plot adjacent to the cafe, centered around top 3 local specialties—tender ginger, white sweet potatoes and ginger flowers.
