Renowned Hong Kong actress Bernice Jan Liu on May 31 made her way to Zhongshan's Dachong, where she was officially appointed as the town's tourism ambassador.

During the day, Bernice hit a series of cultural and tourism landmarks along the featured routes, including Qingping Arcade Street, Antang Community and Chinese Rosewood Culture Expo City, taking in Dachong's rich historical heritage, thriving industries and the lively buzz of everyday life.

She also stopped by local snack shops, tried her hand at making Longdu zongzi (glutinous rice with various fillings wrapped in leaves), and sampled Dachong signature pastries such as jinzha (steamed dumpling with pork).

Throughout the visit, Bernice repeatedly sang the praises of Zhongshan's and Dachong's tourism offerings, and wrapped up with a warm invitation in authentic Longdu dialect: "Come to Dachong for food and fun whenever you are free!"
