South District on May 5 conducted an activity to mark the 100th anniversary of the May 4th Movement in Shuchong Village. Liu Guangsheng's former residence was unveiled as a "red history" education base for youths in Zhongshan.

Gao Zhiqiang had fulfilled a wish during this family visit this year. On May 4, a Qing period stele engraved with "En Zhou Hai Guo" was re-erected at Liaohou village.

This year event would last from May 5 to May 12, during which a series of activities including intangible cultural heritage lectures, "Wooden Dragon Parade" and etc would be held.
