South District on May 5 conducted an activity to mark the 100th anniversary of the May 4th Movement in Shuchong Village. Liu Guangsheng's former residence was unveiled as a "red history" education base for youths in Zhongshan.
This year event would last from May 5 to May 12, during which a series of activities including intangible cultural heritage lectures, "Wooden Dragon Parade" and etc would be held.
China Post issued a set of two commemorative stamps marking the 100th anniversary of the May 4th Movement on May 4, 2019. The two stamps have a face value of 1.20 yuan each.
In shared cultural centers, citizens can enjoy free cultural services with different characteristics. People who help to build a shared cultural center can receive up to 200,000 yuan of supporting funds.
