The expectation of watching a boa "slithering" in the mountains and listening to the sounds of the waves piercing the mangrove forest will be a joyful and fascinating experience in the soon-to-open Zhongshan Forestry Biodome.
A set of two special stamps entitled "The Year of Ji-hai", with a face value of 2.40 yuan, was issued on Jan 5 by China Post. China Post also issued a stamp booklet priced at 12 yuan.
The event's main venue, with the theme "Enter the New Era", will be set at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Park. A total of 31 sets of beautiful lanterns will be exhibited.
Nearly 200 tennis players from 16 teams hailing from 8 cities, including Zhongshan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Macao, participated in this popular sporting event. It was the Guangzhou Yourtec Team that claimed the championship title.
